A new project by SHPILENOK FILM studio
Which tells without words about the family life of foxes – the most charismatic animals in Kamchatka. To survive, they are forced to show cunning and constantly study the world because they hunt and they themselves can become prey. Watching them is an enchanting show: they live in beautiful places, near the ocean, in a bright tundra, near mountains and volcanoes.
The audience will see a lot of kindness, cute animals and impressive landscapes of the young land.

Unprecedented footage
TO THE LIMIT
We shoot foxes living in the Kronotsky Reserve in Kamchatka. This is an absolutely wild area where you can only get by helicopter. Three expeditions with a total duration of 26 months, difficult natural conditions: unpredictable weather, cold and short summers, harsh winters.
DANGEROUS
Life and shooting are going to take place among a lot of brown bears; there’s a risk of tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, avalanches.
REQUIRES OVERPATIENCE
We have to carefully monitor animals without invading their lives, feeding, disrupting their natural behavior in the wild. Three expeditions from 2020 to 2022 last from 7 to 12 months, at which time the film crew continuously works in the protected area.
RESULT
Thousands of hours of unique video footage shot by operators and professional video traps, full-length film “Kamchatka fox tales”.
